Hello, My name is DeVon, a Leo at heart that’s been caged for 30 years and is close to freedom. I am 48 years old. The very first memory I have in life is a memory of murder. I was traumatized and the tender age of three years old when I saw the body of my mother lying on the floor in her bed room. My grandparents raised me pretty good between the ages of three to thirteen but I was scared. When my grandfather, the only father I knew passed the streets began to raise me. I have seen it all and done a great deal of it all within a five year span 13-18 years of age. Everything from sex, drug dealing, gang bangin, to whatever else you could imagine. Till I was 18 and locked up for murder. Now after 30 years of prison I realize that I wasn’t a bad kid I was just lost, hurt, and ignorant to how to break the curse that destroyed my home. No longer that broken child I am the change that some don’t believe exist but will soon see manifested. Though my story doesn’t begin in a bed of roses I will see that it ends with a pleasant sent.
